Faceplate Restoration
We are very happy to offer Steinberger faceplate restorations for L2, XL2, and GL instruments by our good friend, Michael Frampton, from Baltimore, Maryland. Mike has been an avid Steinberger bass player for many years and he is also heavily involved in the automotive restoration business.
He has spent years studying and experimenting with varying methods and techniques in the refinishing of older Steinberger faceplates which have sustained cosmetic flaws. His restorations are beautiful and stunning. They look totally authentic and accurate.
Mike first spent his time experimenting (and perfecting) the "basic black" faceplates and is now also capable of restoring (the more difficult) white faceplates.
Turn-around times are not fast, (typically 60 to 90 days) but the quality is amazing. To give you accurate pricing, Mike will need to examine your faceplate.
Faceplates are very easy to remove from your instrument and shipping costs are inexpensive, as faceplates weigh very little.
Please feel free to contact us if you are considering this service so we can help evaluate your situation by phone. As always, please call BEFORE shipping your faceplate to us.
