Ready to get into the Steinberger experience? This GP2S is the perfect place to start. Featuring the Steinberger S-Trem, and aftermarket Lace Sensor pickups, this high-gloss black finish GP is ready for your collection.

The GP sounds incredible and has a sleek, stylish, and yet ergonomic take on the classic “flying V” shape that left its indelible mark on the guitar world.

Condition

This instrument is in very good condition as-is. The pick guard has light scuffing that would clean up well with careful buffing. The body has medium scuffing that would be improved with buffing, but would only look factory new by stripping and painting the body.

All of the electronics work. The fret board and frets are in great condition. The hardware is in great condition as well. There is little to no pitting on the bridge or headpiece. It is missing the leg rest.

The instrument is playable as-is, but could use some TLC. We have the following options for restoring this instrument before we send it to you:

A player’s grade guitar is a professionally vetted instrument that may include cosmetic wear, replaced parts, or non-original finishes. These guitars are priced for players, not collectors, and have been inspected by our luthier to ensure they meet our performance standards.

Fully Restored
Our fully restored guitars undergo extensive work—gelcoat repair, fretwork, electronic servicing, hardware restoration, and authentic part replacement—bringing vintage Steinbergers back to their prime. Each instrument is evaluated and serviced by our team to ensure performance and authenticity.

Full restoration of this instrument would include:

• Pickups replaced with authentic vintage logo EMG 85s
• Fret board conditioning
• Mirror-polish of frets
• Bridge cleaned, lubed, and serviced (replaced bearings and spring)
• Restring with strings of your choice
• Set-up and calibrated
• Body buffed to remove light scuffs (larger gouges may remain)
• Neck buffed
• Pick guard buffed to reduce scuffs
• Leg rest replaced
• Damaged or corroded mounting hardware replaced
• Retaining band replaced
• Knobs refurbished
