These Steinberger GL strap buttons are virtually impossible to find parts that our customers have been asking us about for many years. We searched and searched and finally located a machine shop with the talent and the patience to manufacture these for us to the exact specifications of the original. These parts are perfect reproductions of the original strap buttons and are made from stainless steel as were the originals. It seems that virtually every part that was used on the original Steinbergers was designed and manufactured specifically for Ned Steinberger. Almost no "off-the-shelf" parts were apparently good enough to install on Neds premium grade guitars.

Over the last 25 years, lots of Steinberger players have replaced their original strap-buttons with other types of strap buttons. There have been lots of ingenious strap locking devices sold over the last few decades, so lots of these original GL guitars have lost their original strap buttons.
